Compatibility between Amazon Echo (3rd Generation) and GE On/Off Paddle Switch (Z-Wave)

Compatibility Check:

Great news! This hub and accessory combination is compatible, however it requires an additional bridge device
You can see the instructions for this connection using this instruction link

The Amazon Echo (3rd Generation) and GE On/Off Paddle Switch (Z-Wave) can communicate with each other using a bridge. This bridge is necessary because there is no shared connection between the two devices.

With the GE C-Reach Smart Bridge, The GE On/Off Paddle Switch (Z-Wave)'s Wi-Fi can connect to the bridge, and the bridge can connect to the Z-Wave connection of the GE On/Off Paddle Switch (Z-Wave). The GE C-Reach Smart Bridge also has Amazon Alexa compatibility, ensuring the connection can be made.

Another compatiblity is to use the connections between the third party Samsung SmartThings Hub 3rd Generation with the GE On/Off Paddle Switch (Z-Wave). This method can use the bridge to connect to the Z-Wave connection of the GE On/Off Paddle Switch (Z-Wave). The Samsung SmartThings Hub 3rd Generation also has Amazon Alexa compatibility, allowing all of the devices to communicate to each other.
