Compatibility between Amazon Echo (1st Generation) and Netgear Arlo Ultra Camera

Compatibility Check:

Great news! This hub and accessory combination is compatible, however it requires an additional bridge device
You can see the instructions for this connection using this instruction link

The Amazon Echo (1st Generation) and Netgear Arlo Ultra Camera can communicate with each other using a bridge. This bridge is necessary because there is no shared connection between the two devices.

With the Netgear Arlo Pro Smart Hub, The Netgear Arlo Ultra Camera's Wi-Fi can connect to the bridge, and the bridge can connect to the Z-Wave connection of the Netgear Arlo Ultra Camera. The Netgear Arlo Pro Smart Hub also has Amazon Alexa compatibility, ensuring the connection can be made.

Another compatiblity is to use the connections between the third party Samsung SmartThings Hub 3rd Generation with the Netgear Arlo Ultra Camera. This method can use the bridge to connect to the Z-Wave connection of the Netgear Arlo Ultra Camera. The Samsung SmartThings Hub 3rd Generation also has Amazon Alexa compatibility, allowing all of the devices to communicate to each other.
